  2. From Wikipedia “The principles taught at the Spanish Riding School are based on practices taught to cavalry riders to prepare their horses for warfare.” This is taken from Alois Podhajsky’s The Complete Training of Horse and Rider In the Principles of Classic Horsemanship, a book which was my bedtime reading for a while, back before I become too injured (and poor) to ride regularly.

    Everything Willie says is derivative.

Krendler pulls the monkey’s chain. Willie does his inimitable simian dance. Krendler points the dancing out. Thereupon, Witless promptly says that it is Krendler who is dancing. The man (I know: I am using the term very loosely) has never had an original thought in his life. He is ignorant and not too bright so his lack of originality is not surprising, but what is surprising is his lack of awareness that everyone sees his inability to be creative, even in the puerile effort to be insulting. No one, not even any of Willie’s idiot friends and in-laws, believes that Willie is pulling Krendler’s chain: why did Witless ask for help from his in-laws if he himself believed that Krendler was the puppet rather than the puppeteer. .
