And I may be misreading him, but he also seems to believe, wrongly of course, that nothing about him is true unless you first get his confirmation.
The same old “rights for me, but duties for thee.” No one has a duty to ask him for confirmation about anything: if something is true, it is true whether or not he is first asked for confirmation and whether or not he does confirm it. Truth is truth.

It’s not about what the quote says. It’s true that said those words. No need to get confirmation, when you have the screenshot from his blog or twitter or whatever.

We are talking past each other.
First, there is no duty to get confirmation from Willie about anything whatsoever.
Second, evidence showing that Willie said something does not make what he said true. It is at least conceivable that he may have uttered an untruth.
Third, screenshots et al. can be faked. In fact, I think someone as yet unknown faked a screenshot this very day. In Willie’s case, of course, spoliation of evidence may come into play to preclude any claims that quotations of him were faked.
The problem is that talking about Willie involves such bizarre stuff that it is easy for people of good sense and good will to talk past each other.

Agreed on all points. As for the forged 3% post…Schmally tweeted the screenshot 3 minutes before he emailed it to himself. He probably didn’t even have ‘help’ with this. I only say probably, because it’s possible he emailed the screenie to himself to cover someone else who emailed it to him. There’s no way he ever believed it was really Hoge.

Dumbass Schmalfeldt doesn’t seem to realize the difference between “celebrity” and “(limited) public figure.” Being a psychotic stalker with a lengthy history of harassing innocent people AND restraining orders against you in a half-dozen states DEFINITELY makes you a public figure. (Also, getting dumped by Daily Kos and The Examiner for being a humorless wheezing threatening creepozoid sounds pretty public-interest notable to me.) But it looks like the shaky dummy will need to waste hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on a frivolous lolsuit to be convinced of the obvious. DFs gotta DF.
