It’s surprising sometimes how the macro reflects what’s going on in the micro and vice versa. This was seen floating around a website that I frequent over the past 24 hours in relation to the whole Trump/CNN gif clusterfuck.
Point number nine. How very… interesting.
And then this was posted on that same website and it just made me giggle. A lot.
Heh. Indeed.

CNN is a lot like William “stolen valor parkinsons faking” Shmalfeldt. They both get butthurt of free speech and use whatever investigative bully tactics they can to shut people up.

And neither CNN nor William “Stolen Valor Parkinsons Faking” Schmalfeldt can accuratly predict the blowback of their misguided efforts.

Sadly, I suspect that Unca Biwwy’s emails to me are past the statue of limitations. Because they sure fit – I think they managed to violate 4, 5, and 9.

Strictly speaking, it looks like a blackmail or extortion charge might not stick. Criminal coercion might have more legs, but I think you’d have better luck with 18 USC 241-242.
That being said, people are now talking about memeing and doxing the shit out of CNN, and… I can’t get worked up at all. CNN’s law and PR staff must all be brain damaged, because I cannot see a single way this could have gone in a way defined as ‘good’.

CNN still lives in a world where Obama is president and anything liberal can do no wrong in the name of “justice”
